New Doctor in the house - Dr. Antti Siiskonen

SPM proudly congratulate new PhD graduate of the group Dr. Antti Siiskonen who successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in chemistry at Tampere University on 22 May 2026.

His research combines experimental and computational methods to study azobenzenes and halogen bonding, identifying visible-light molecular switches and new approaches for molecular temperature sensing. The work supports the development of smart materials and applications in areas such as photopharmacology and solar energy.
